How Are You, my dear One? Sure was nice seeing you ~ even briefly ~ at the Huntington Summer Fest, & didn't really have time to ask in person - what you've been up to ? Stay well and reply when time allows . . . (((HUGS))) Daria

So nice to see you as well, delightful Daria! All is well. This summer I've been super actively working on upping my skill level in everything - voice, piano, guitar, writing - because as of this fall I'll be returning both to teaching and touring! I can't wait. Between the wedding, the crowdfunding campaign, the album release, and the radio campaign, it feels like it's been *such* a long stretch of paving the way. I'm ready to start easing on down the road! : )

Thinking of you, thank you for your sweet note, and for the too-brief pleasure of your company at the fest. Hope all is really well for you, too!

xo,

-Elaine

To answer your question: SO cute!
But not *quite* as cute as you are. : )
I miss you! Hope to see you before another year goes by!

Let me know when you are in the area of Downers Grove (60490). Your performance at the Two Way Street was fantastic.

Oh, thank you so much! That's a wonderful venue, isn't it? I really enjoyed that show. I will definitely be back in the area, and I'll be sure to send the schedule to my mailing list peoples (so thanks for joining). I'm just about to dive into recording a new CD, so finishing that will determine my touring schedule.

Elaine,
Enjoyed your concert in Wellsville--spoke to you about whether you would consider creating a CD of Celtic music/Irish ballads? Take care and keep sharing the joy. Janicenov51@gmail.com

Hi Janice! I remember that - I honestly hadn't ever thought about it before you suggested it, and it's a great idea. I'd really like to get my next album of originals out this year... but perhaps with a little planning, it would be possible to record two albums at once! Food for thought, for sure. Thanks so much for the feedback, and the idea. : ) - Elaine

Are you from Ireland? I saw your Daily Single Page. I was also on Daily Single Page. Kafi Cosette' Sondai

Hi Sondai, and fellow Daily Single star! : )

I'm not from Ireland directly, but I'm of Irish ancestry. (My peeps were from County Kerry.) A Celtic sound has ended up in my songwriting anyway, somehow, and I've embraced it.

Thank you so much for joining the mailing list! Did you get a free song? Let me know if not and I'll be sure you do get one. I must find my Daily Single login so I can and read about you, too. : )

Best,

What song writers made you feel special to sing. And who is the most important person in sining,Gave you good feed back with songs you write.

Elaine Romanelli responded on 06/01/2011
A

Oh gosh! Big questions! Songwriters that make me feel special to sing... well, you may not know this, but I sing classical music as well, and recently at an event I sang a choral piece called Cantique de Jean Racine. It's just soooo delicious to sing! It's really a study in writing expertly for voices.
Good feedback on my songs: my mentor in SF. He said (over and over) that you just have to write a LOT of songs - if you do, some of them are bound to be good. : ) I didn't particularly follow his advice until recently, but I'm trying to write a couple songs a month now and see what happens. Thanks for the questions!! : ) - Elaine

Did you ever consider country style music>Elaine I love a lot of country songs.

Elaine Romanelli responded on 01/06/2011
A

Absolutely! I love singing country, especially some of the original country writers like Hank Williams Sr. I've even considered releasing a whole album of country songs! We'll have to see what the Muse has in store for me next. : )

What is your next holiday song, going to sound like.Last one was funny .

Elaine Romanelli responded on 12/15/2010
A

Hey Pete!
We have a live version of In The Bleak Midwinter somewhere. It's one of my favorite songs, so we may do a 180 and record it for real, even though it's soft and serious and not at all zany. And then after that, what the heck - maybe we'll try writing an original holiday song. What do you think?

What websites do you check everyday?

Elaine Romanelli responded on 11/22/2010
A

Facebook, to keep in touch with my peoples; often Slashdot, because it's got cool news that's not about celebrities; and also often my own website, because I post everything I need to know about my schedule there.
